Farmers Markets

Farmers Markets

Farmers' Markets take place almost every week somewhere in and around the Peak District. Farmers' Markets only sell products which have been produced, grown, raised, baked or caught locally are sold on the markets.

Buying at local Farmers' Markets helps to support the rural economy in Derbyshire and the Peak District. Following the introduction of various local food initiatives, it is now easier than ever to get the real flavour of Derbyshire and the Peak District National Park.

Belper Farmers' Market is held in the Market Place. Visitors are advised to arrive in good time to avoid possible disappointment. Free car parking is available at The Coppice.

Castleton Farmers' Market, is held in the village hall, it is a relative newcomer having held its first market in November 2004. The Farmers' Market at Chesterfield forms an extension to one of the largest open air markets in the country.
